Funding Agreement between NSIF and TKC for project "Kabaddi (Sports) for all"

On 12th August 2020, TKC and NSIF met to sign the funding agreement for approved CSR project of Sports at the office of NSIF in Port Louis.


Vice President of TKC Mr. Zakir Hussein HOSENBUX signed agreement with NSIF along with Mr. Yusuf Ali CHUMMON (Treasurer, TKC) in the presence of Ms. Candice BONNEFIN (CSR Program Officer, NSIF) and Coordinator of TKC Capt. H.K. Singh.


Mandate of National Social Inclusion Foundation:

The main mandate of the Foundation is to undertake programmes and Projects for the benefit of individuals and families registered ubder the Social Register of Mauritius (SRM) and of vulnerable groups in the following priority areas:

  1. Socio-Economic Development

  2. Educational Support & Training

  3. Social Housing

  4. Leisure & Sports

  5. Supporting people with disabilities

  6. Road & Se Safety

  7. Peace and Nation building

  8. Family protection including gender-based violence

  9. Dealing with health problems

  10. Environment and sustainable development

TKC is a sports club & NGO under auspices of Mauritius Kabaddi Federation, with many successful execution of CSR projects in the past 5years and after signing this agreement, now TKC runs two kabaddi projects under CSR in 2020 for helping the Mauritian community through Sports:

  1. "Kabaddi (Sports) for all" with support of NSIF, Mauritius

  2. "Fit Future Season-1" with support of some very known corporates in Mauritius- LIC (biggest supporter), IndianOil, Bank of Baroda & Ajanta Pharma

About the Project:

"Kabaddi (Sports) for all" project will initially run at three difference venues Providence Village, Poste de Flacq Village and Labourdonnais College, Valles de Pretes. It will benefit directly to 30 youths and 40 school children and their family through sports.

Three coaches and 1 Head Coach will lead this activity in which selected coaches are Rudy Jonathan Bassy, Deoraj Hurnarain aka Kunal and Sazia Bibi Fatima Sheik Panchoo along with Head coach Capt. H. K. Singh.


When the Project will start?

Project will start at three venues from 25/26th August and will run for 30 weeks. In between trainings and coaching of Kabaddi, motivational matches, events, championships will be created to motivate youth and children of Mauritius to be more active in sports.
